I’ve always been interested in how businesses actually work - not just the numbers, but the people, processes, and decisions behind them. That interest started early in Cape Town, while studying and working with my dad in an electrical business. I quickly realised I enjoyed understanding how the whole system fitted together - and that I was good at fixing problems when it didn’t.
At heart, I’m a problem-solver. When things aren’t going well, I go back to basics: where is the pain, what’s driving it, and what actually needs fixing. I’m far more interested in root causes than symptoms - and just as interested in celebrating what already works well before changing anything.
This mindset is what drives my passion for financial technology, its the central nervous system of a modern business. Identifying digital levers that can transform a manual, fragmented processes or reporting is a passion, driving out effort so that focus can be turned on to what matters.
I’m known for being approachable and for taking the time to explain the numbers in a way that makes sense. I enjoy turning complex data into something practical, whether that’s a Power BI dashboard, a financial model, or a straightforward conversation that helps a leadership team come together and decide what's next.
I particularly enjoy working with senior teams, private equity partners, and ambitious businesses that want clear, high-level insight without losing sight of the detail underneath.
Outside work, I help coach my son’s rugby team. It’s a good reminder that clarity beats cleverness, listening matters, and people perform best when they understand what’s expected of them — lessons that translate back into work that I do.
